⚔️Combat
The mining and combat mechanics are intricately designed to offer a dynamic gameplay experience. Here’s how it unfolds:
Mission Selection and Preparation: Players choose a mining mission based on descriptive cues about potential hazards. They can equip their Ark with up to three modules from their base that match the mission's challenges.
Journey: The Ark takes time to travel to the designated mining area. This travel time varies based on the mission's distance.
Mining Process: Once at the mine, the Ark begins extracting resources, which also consumes time.
Return Journey: The trip back home is longer than the journey to the sector. During this phase, the Ark is vulnerable to attacks.
Combat Mechanics:
If attacked and defeated on the way to the mine, the Ark retreats to base and must repair before the next mission.
If attacked and victorious, either en route or at the sector, the Ark continues the mission.
If the Ark is defeated while mining, the attacker can take over the mining process.
On the return journey, a defeated ARK loses all gathered resources, but if victorious, retains them.
Resource Capacity: Each Ark has a carrying capacity for mined resources, dictated by their Modules. This capacity can be increased through purchases or upgrades. If a mine yields more than the Ark can carry, the remaining resources stay in the mine, allowing for future extraction.
Recovery Time: Attackers face a longer recovery time by 25% than those who defend, adding a strategic layer to deciding when and whom to attack.
